Nitish Kumar, popularly known as ‘Sushasan Babu,’ was sworn in as Bihar Chief Minister for the 10th time on Thursday, November 11, 2025, along with 27 ministers, including Samrat Choudhary, while Vijay Sinha was retained as Deputy CM. The oath-taking ceremony, held at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, marked another milestone in his long political career.

The event saw the presence of top national and regional leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda. Several other NDA state chief ministers also attended, such as Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio, making it a high-profile gathering.

According to PTI, a three-day session of the newly constituted assembly will begin on November 26, during which the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected and new members will take their oaths.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025 Result 

The NDA returned to power in Bihar with a commanding victory, winning 202 of the 243 assembly seats. The BJP secured 89 seats, JD(U) 85, LJP(RV) 19, HAM(S) 5, and RLM 4.
