A bomb threat once again created panic at the Patna Civil Court on Thursday morning. An email, sent by an unidentified individual to the court's Registrar, claimed that RDX and IED explosives had been planted on the premises. The administration and police were immediately alerted upon receiving the email.

The entire court complex was promptly evacuated, and people were moved to safer locations as a precautionary measure.

Immediate Response And Investigation

Upon receiving the information, a Bomb Disposal Squad and a Dog Squad were rushed to the scene. Both teams conducted a thorough search of every part of the court. As of now, no suspicious objects have been found or confirmed.

Entry to the court premises remains restricted until the investigation is complete. Security has also been heightened in the surrounding areas.

The threatening email was sent to the official email address of the Civil Court. The Cyber Cell has initiated a technical investigation into the email to identify and trace the sender.

History Of Similar Threats

This is not the first time the court has received such a threat.

August 29, 2025: A similar threatening email was sent to the court. The subsequent search operation by security agencies revealed the threat to be a hoax. The perpetrator in that case has not yet been identified.

April 2025: The court received an email threat of being blown up by a bomb.

January 2024: The Patna High Court also received a bomb threat, which led to a high alert and tightening of security measures.

In response to these repeated incidents, the administration has decided to take steps to enhance the court's security and strengthen its electronic surveillance and checking systems.
