Patna Hospital Murder:  Five policemen have been suspended for negligence in duty in connection with gangster Chandan Mishra’s daylight murder at Paras Hospital in Patna. Gangster Chandan Mishra, who was out on parole for treatment, was killed by five armed men on Thursday morning in a private ward of Paras Hospital. Earlier, a joint team of Bihar STF and Patna Police arrested six accused involved in the murder case in West Bengal on Friday.

The policemen who were suspended for dereliction of duty include a sub-inspector, two assistant sub-inspectors, and two constables. The five police personnel were from the Shastri Nagar Police Station in the Bihar capital.

The development in Chandan Mishra’s murder case comes after six accused were arrested by the police on Friday in West Bengal, PTI reported, citing a police official. According to the police, the accused were apprehended from a housing complex in the metropolis's satellite township during a joint raid by the Patna Police and West Bengal STF.

The arrested accused are being questioned in West Bengal and will be brought to Patna after legal procedures. Police are conducting raids at several hideouts of the accused. According to police sources, more criminals are involved in the murder case of Chandan Mishra. Further investigation is underway.

On Thursday morning, five armed men entered the premises of Paras Hospital and walked towards the ICU where Chandan Mishra was undergoing treatment after being out on parole. A man, Tausif Raza alias Badshah, was walking fearlessly at the front of the group with a gun in his hand. The video of the incident went viral on the internet, showing Tauseef Badshah walking out of the private ward with the same stride after committing the crime. Chandan Mishra could not survive.
