Patna Metro Opening: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Patna Metro Rail project on Monday at the Bhootnath Metro Station. Starting Tuesday, passengers will be able avail services easing traffic congestion The launch of this first phase of the Patna Metro marks a new step towards modern transportation in the state. Plans are underway to expand the metro network to connect more areas in the future.

First Phase Of Patna Metro
The first phase of the Patna Metro will operate between the New ISBT, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath metro stations. Fares are set at a minimum of Rs 15 and a maximum of Rs 30. For now, passengers will need to purchase tokens for their travel, jagran.com reported.
The Bhootnath Metro Station has been specially decorated for the inauguration. This project is expected to ease traffic in Patna and improve the city's connectivity. The opening of the metro is expected to provide relief from traffic jams to city residents.
Patna Metro Details
- The trains will operate between 8 am and 10 pm for 14 hours.
- Metro will be available at every station at an interval of every 20 minutes.
- Trains will make 40 to 42 trips daily.

- 147 passengers will be able to travel sitting and 945 passengers standing.
- 12 seats will be reserved for women and disabled people in each train.
- There will be mobile and laptop charging facilities in the metro coaches.
- Patna Metro's two corridors, Red Line (16.86 km) and Blue Line (14.56 km), will have a total of 24 stations.
