Odisha Weather Forecast: According India Meteorological Department (IMD) a cyclonic circulation is expected to form on October 7 and under its influence, rain is expected to lash multiple Odisha districts from October 7 to 12.
A cyclonic circulation is expected to form over the central Bay of Bengal, bringing rainfall, particularly in northern and coastal Odisha. The IMD has forecast the formation of another low-pressure area over the northern Bay of Bengal around October 9.

As per the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation or low pressure area may develop in the Bay of Bengal around October 7. Under its influence, rain is likely to start in the state from October 7.
Due to the effect of the trough line, Odisha is currently experiencing cloudy weather with light rain. The IMD has issued a warning regarding the possibility of rain with thunder and lightning for the next four days.
IMD Issues Yellow Alert In 20 Odisha Districts
A yellow alert has been issued for 20 districts in view of the possibility of thunderstorms and rain for the next 24 hours.
The warning will remain in force in the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda in north interior and coastal Odisha.
