The Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) on Tuesday stated that the project is rapidly moving towards its final stage. While providing details, the authority stated that finishing work is currently underway at multiple metro stations, including New ISBT, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath Road. The PMRCL officials stated that the civil construction in the 6.49 km long corridor from Malahi Pakadi to New ISBT is almost complete, adding that the metro services are likely to begin in the next month. The authority stated that the metro services will provide relief to the thousands of commuters by significantly cutting the travel time and reducing the traffic congestion.
While providing details, the authority stated that fares for three stations had already been finalised before the inauguration. It stated that while the minimum fare will be Rs 15, the maximum fare will be Rs 30. The fare from New ISBT to Zero Mile will be Rs 15, and from Bhootnath Road it will be Rs 30. The authority also stated that the metro is likely to operate from 5 am to 11 pm daily. The PMRCL also stated that 80 per cent of the finishing work at the New ISBT station has been completed, adding that electrical work at the Zero Mile and Bhootnath Road stations is in its final stages.

Earlier on Sunday, Patna Metro successfully conducted a trial run on the elevated track between Patna Depot and Bhoothnath Metro Stations. While providing details, the authority stated that the train covered a distance of 4.5 kilometers, adding that the train passed through three stations—ISBT (Patliputra Bus Terminal), Zero Mile, and Bhootnath—at slow speeds to ensure safety. Earlier last week, the authority stated that the metro services are likely to commence in the later parts of September.
The PMRCL officials, while providing details about the trial, stated that the aim to conduct the trial was to assess the train's performance on tracks. The authority also verified the overhead electrification system that powers the metro train operations.
