The Revenue and Land Reforms Department in Patna is witnessing a steady return of dismissed contractual staff seeking reinstatement. So far, 2,035 personnel have submitted applications, of which 402 appeals have been approved, while the remaining are under review.

Earlier, 3,321 contractual staff had already ended their strike and resumed work before September 3. Department officials have stated that this initiative provides a fair opportunity for previously dismissed personnel who now wish to return.

The process began modestly with 54 personnel returning on the first day, gradually increasing to 235 applicants. The department has clarified that interested staff can submit their applications in person at the Patna office during office hours.

The total number of dismissed contractual staff is estimated to be around 7,000. The strike had initially prompted dismissals, but the department decided not to penalise staff who returned before September 3, while those who did not report by the evening of September 3 were formally dismissed.
