Bihar's Road Construction Minister and BJP MLA from Bankipur, Nitin Naveen, on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the construction of four key roads in Wards 24 and 25 of the Patna Municipal Corporation. These road projects aim to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across several localities in the city.

According to officials, the new road infrastructure will be developed under the Chief Minister's Urban Comprehensive Development Scheme. The total cost of the four road projects is estimated at Rs 94.42 lakh.

In Ward 25, a road from Deepmala Cloth Shop near Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple (Boring Canal Road) to the residence of Ram Suchit Mishra will be constructed at Rs 41 lakh. Additionally, Rs 18.59 lakh has been sanctioned for road development from the State Bank main road to Road No 2 in Sri Krishna Nagar.

In Ward 24, a PCC road from Buddha Colony main road to Vinod Sah’s house (Gandhi Murti Road) will be constructed for Rs 13.13 lakh. Another road, connecting BK Singh’s house to Ram Jaipal Singh’s residence via Ratan Billa Apartment and Vijay Pandey’s house, will be built at Rs 21.70 lakh.

Over the past 10 days, Minister Nitin Naveen has laid the foundation stones for 27 roads under the scheme, totalling nearly Rs 10 crore. In many of these locations, the road development is being carried out alongside underground drainage system construction to improve sanitation and urban infrastructure.

Ward Councillor Rajnikant (Ward 25), Councillor Gyanvati Devi (Ward 24), local leaders, including Akhilesh, and numerous residents were present during the ceremony.
