Patna Weather: The Meteorological Center has issued a warning for heatwaves in Bihar for the next two to three days. Additionally, the weather body has warned of thunderstorms and rain in multiple Bihar districts from April 26. According to IMD, a fresh western disturbance is being observed as a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds. The upper air cyclonic circulation over East Bihar and neighbourhood now lies over North Bangladesh and neighbourhood and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. A trough is running from above the cyclonic circulation over North Bangladesh and neighbourhood through Gangetic West Bengal to North Odisha at 0.9 km above mean sea level. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam and neighbourhood persists and is now seen at 0.9 km above mean sea level.

Severe Heat Alert In These Areas

There is an alert for severe heatwave in some districts of North Bihar. Weather is expected to remain dry and severe heat is forecast for multiple areas including Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Bhabua, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Munger and Banka.

Heatwave Alert In THESE Four Districts

A yellow alert has been issued for heatwaves in East Champaran, West Champaran, Shivhar, Gopalganj districts. The maximum temperature during the next three days is likely to increase by one to three degrees.

Districts That Stayed Above 40 Degrees

On April 24, Motihari experienced a severe heatwave while Supaul recorded a heatwave. During this period, the maximum temperature of Gaya was 42.6 degrees Celsius, Buxar and Dehri 42.2 degrees Celsius, Motihari 41.8 degrees Celsius, Sheikhpura 41.6 degrees Celsius, Patna and Gopalganj 41.4 degrees Celsius, Valmikinagar 41.1 degrees Celsius, Aurangabad 40.8 degrees Celsius, Bhojpur 40.5 degrees Celsius, Banka 40.4 degrees Celsius, Bhagalpur 40.2 degrees Celsius, Supaul, Jiradei and Arwal recorded a maximum temperature of 40.1 degrees Celsius.

Weather To Change In Nine Districts

Bihar's weather is likely to change once again from April 26. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms in the state. There is a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms in Sitamarhi, Madhubani, West Champaran, Shivhar, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar and Begusarai districts. Over the last few days, the maximum temperature in most parts including Patna was recorded to be above normal. The residents of the capital were troubled by the heat throughout the day.
