Puja Special Trains: In anticipation of heavy passenger traffic during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festival, the Indian Railways has announced to run Puja Special Train services from Bihar’s Gaya to several major cities, including Mumbai and Delhi.

East Central Railway Hajipur’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, confirmed that, alongside the introduction of Puja Special train services, the operating duration of existing train services will also be extended to accommodate increased passenger load.

These additional upcoming train services aim to ease travel for passengers travelling to Gaya, Bokaro, Jhajha, DDU, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Delhi, and neighbouring areas. Authorities have advised passengers to make advanced reservations to avoid the last-minute rush.

Check List Of Puja Special Trains

- Gaya-Delhi-Gaya Special: Train No. 13639/13640 Gaya-Delhi-Gaya Special will depart from Gaya every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday between October 12 and November 30 at 10:00 PM. In its return journey, the train will leave Delhi at 7:00 PM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between October 13 and December 1. In its journey, the train will travel via Dehri-on-Sone, Sasaram, DDU, and Prayagraj.

- Dhanbad-Delhi-Dhanbad Special: Train No. 03309/03310 Dhanbad-Delhi-Dhanbad Special will depart from Dhanbad every Saturday and Tuesday between October 11 and November 29. The train will halt at Gaya at 1:30 PM en route to Delhi. On the return journey, it will depart from Delhi every Sunday and Wednesday between October 12 and November 30, reaching Gaya at 8:55 AM the following day.

- CSMT-Asansol-CSMT AC Special: Train No. 01145/01146 CSMT-Asansol-CSMT AC Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, every Monday starting October 6. The train will travel via DDU and Gaya before reaching Asansol. On the return journey, it will depart from Asansol every Wednesday and arrive in Mumbai on Thursday, following the same route via Gaya and DDU.

- Gaya-Anand Vihar-Gaya Special: Train No. 02397/02398 Gaya-Anand Vihar-Gaya Special will depart from Gaya every Sunday between October 12 and November 30. Its return leg, Anand Vihar-Gaya Special service will leave Anand Vihar every Monday from October 13 to November 1.
