RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav Skips Media, Heads To Europe With Family After Bihar Defeat

The RJD is engaged in reviewing the reasons for its defeat in the Bihar assembly elections 2025, while the party's leader, Tejashwi Yadav, has gone to Europe. He is accompanied by his wife and children (daughter Katyayani and son Iraj), who are expected to celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year abroad. 

As per the information, Tejashwi is set to return to Patna with his family only after December. It is noteworthy that Tejashwi married Rachel Godinho, a Christian, who is now known as Rajshri. Rachel also lives with her husband at Rabri Devi's official bungalow (10, Circular Road) in Patna.

During the assembly elections, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad had celebrated Halloween, a Christian festival, at the same bungalow. A video of Lalu celebrating with Tejashwi's daughter was widely circulated at the time. 

Rabri has received a notice to shift to the bungalow at 39, Harding Park. In such a situation, Rachel's absence is likely to cause unease for the family. Rabri had evaded a question related to this on the legislative assembly premises. 

Tejashwi has also been keeping his distance from the media since the crushing defeat and is refraining from making public comments. As per the sources, Rachel had gone to Delhi with the children on November 24, followed by Tejashwi on November 27.

Upon returning, he took the oath as a member of the newly formed legislative assembly. After the proceedings of the second day (December 2) of the five-day assembly session concluded, Tejashwi suddenly left for Delhi. Amidst ongoing criticism from the opposition over this, he has now gone to Europe for the holidays.
