VIP Chief Mukesh Sahani's Father Jitan Sahani Killed In Bihar's Darbhanga, SIT Formed

Jitan Sahani Murder: Jitan Sahani, father of Vikassheel Insaan Party president and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani, was murdered in his residence in Darbhanga's Supaul Bazaar area. His mutilated body was discovered on Tuesday morning in his ancestral home.

Darbhanga SSP Jagannath Reddy has confirmed the incident, stating that police were alerted early Tuesday morning and have initiated an investigation into the case. The murder was reportedly committed with a sharp weapon.

"Former minister Mukesh Sahani's father, Jeetan Sahani, has been murdered. Primary investigations indicate that someone came to commit theft and fatally attacked him," said Deputy SP Biraul, Manish Chandra Chaudhary, as reported by news agency IANS.

Jitan Sahani's son, Mukesh Sahani, heads the Vikassheel Insaan Party, a key ally in Bihar's opposition alliance. Sahani is known for his close association with former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and has previously served as a minister in the Bihar government.

Former minister Mukesh Sahni has left for his Bihar home from Mumbai after hearing about the incident. Father Jeetan Sahni used to live alone in the house. His mother passed away about eight years ago.

Reacting to the incident JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said, "The way VIP Chief Mukesh Sahani's father has been murdered is unfortunate, brutal and painful. The police will find out the accused. We have faith in the police investigation and we urge Tejashwi Yadav to come forward if he knows the accused in any way or if he has any information whatsoever, he should cooperate with the police to ensure justice for Mukesh Sahani's family."

According to Bihar minister Nitin Nabin, SIT has been formed to investigate the matter and assured that the truth will be revealed soon.
