Aadhar update last date:  Aadhaar has become one of the most essential documents for Indian residents, with a wide range of uses. Whether you need to open a bank account, enroll your kid in school, or take advantage of any government program, it is critical to keep your Aadhaar information up to date.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is still providing the option to update Aadhaar data free of charge, but the deadline for these free updates is approaching this month. It is advisable to do it as soon as possible if you have not updated your Aadhaar yet since fees will apply after the deadline passes.

Free Aadhaar Update Deadline: September 14th

UIDAI has provided a facility for updating Aadhaar cards issued more than 10 years ago at no cost. This deadline has been extended several times—from March 14th to June 14th, 2024, and now again to September 14th. This implies you only have a few days left to update your Aadhaar for free. Following the deadline, a fixed charge will be applied to updates.

Charges Following the Deadline

Once the free Aadhaar update deadline has passed, UIDAI will demand a fee of Rs 50 for any updates. It's crucial to remember that this free service is only available via the myAadhaar Portal.

2. Go to the "My Aadhaar" Portal and sign in using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

3. Examine your information. Simply check the relevant checkbox if everything is correct.

4. If your demographic information is incorrect, pick the relevant identity document from the drop-down menu and upload it.

5. The document can be uploaded in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format.

Updates at Aadhaar Centres

The free update service is solely accessible online. If you need to make changes by visiting an Aadhaar center, the Rs 50 fee will apply. Certain updates, such as changes to iris or biometric data, require a personal visit to an Aadhaar center.

As the deadline approaches quickly, it is advisable to complete your updates online as soon as possible to avoid any fees.
