The Adani Group today announced one of the world's largest integrated energy and computing commitments: a direct investment of US$100 billion to develop highly scalable, renewable-powered, AI-enabled data centers by 2035.

Additional Investment For Server Manufacturing

The company stated that this $100 billion investment is expected to catalyze an additional US$150 billion in investments in server manufacturing, advanced energy infrastructure, sovereign cloud computing platforms, and supporting industries by 2035.

Thus, these combined efforts are expected to create a US$250 billion integrated AI infrastructure ecosystem in India over the next decade.

"The world is entering an Intelligence Revolution more profound than any previous Industrial Revolution. Nations that master the symmetry between energy and computation will shape the next decade. India is uniquely positioned to lead. At Adani, we are building on our foundation in data centres and green energy to expand into the complete five-layer AI stack focused on India's technological sovereignty," said Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.

"India will not be a mere consumer in the AI age. We will be the creators, the builders and the exporters of intelligence and we are proud to be able to participate in that future," Adani added.

The company announced that its strategic plan is based on the existing infrastructure of Adani Connex's National Data Centers, which has a capacity of 2 gigawatts, and aims to expand it to 5 gigawatts.

This expansion includes partnerships with global technology companies, such as Google, to establish India's largest AI data center complex, with a capacity of one gigawatt, in Visakhapatnam, in addition to other complexes in Noida, and collaborations with Microsoft in Hyderabad and Pune.

The Adani Group is also reportedly in discussions with other global companies to establish large-scale complexes across India.
