The Adani Group on Thursday announced plans to invest an additional Rs 8,700 crore in various sectors including cement production, logistics and agro-based industries in Bihar.
Pranav Adani, Adani Enterprises director while speaking at Bihar Business Connect-2023, a two-day global investor conference said the group is already present in Bihar and has invested Rs 850 crore there.
In Bihar, Our team has decided to invest an additional Rs 8,700 core, said Adani. He further added that the investment would directly or indirectly employ around 10,000 people in the state.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released the Bihar Logistics Policy 2023 at the summit. According to the CM, the policy aims to provide "international-standard" infrastructure for industrial and social development.

We are already present in Bihar with an investment of 850 core and now the state has become an attractive destination in the country In logistics, gas distribution and agricultural logistics, We provide jobs to 3,000 people directly or indirectly. Now, we are looking to raise the number of employees by 10 times, said Pranav Adani.
Giving details of the future investment plan in the state, he said the company plans to raise Rs 1200 crore and provide employment to 2,000 people in the warehousing sector. Purnia, Begusarai, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Kishanganj and Araria districts will be benefited.
Adani further informed that the group will also allocate Rs 200 cr to improve the city gas distribution network in Gaya and Nalanda.
He said, "We are planning to start production of compressed biogas and EV chargers. This venture will create around 1,500 jobs in the state. The Adani Group is also considering bringing Adani Wilmar to Bihar".
The company plans to enter the cement manufacturing sector by setting up units at Warsaliganj and Mahawal at Rs 2,500 crore. Adhani praised the Bihar government for its development and social programmes.
