Bank Holiday Today: Bank Holiday November 7: As per the state-wise holiday chart of the Reserve Bank of India, branches in one of the Northeastern states will remain closed due to a region-specific festival. Due to the Wangala festival falling today, Friday, November 7, customers requiring their in-person work done are seeking clarity on where the banks will be closed on the occasion of the Wangala festival.
Bank To Be Closed In Meghalaya Today
With the introduction of digital banking and ATMs, there is no need to queue at counters just to withdraw cash. But certain cases or critical transactions still require a physical visit to the branches.

All private and public sector banks will remain closed only in Meghalaya due to the Wangala festival. Banking services will function normally across the rest of India.

According to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar, banks across different states will observe a string of consecutive closures from November 5 to 9, triggered by regional festivals and local events. However, these holidays vary by state and date; no nationwide shutdown is scheduled during this period.
