Credit score: A few days later, we all will be stepping into a new year. Many people have already started drafting their resolutions for the year 2024. Making a resolution and following all possible steps to fulfil it, is indeed a good practice. If you are somebody, dealing with a low credit score then fixing it up must be in your New Year resolution.
We all know, a credit score is the top instrument to get our loan approved easily. So, we should make sure that a bad credit score does not become an obstacle in a hard time when you need financial assistance.

An individual's credit score, which ranges from 300-900, indicates a person's creditworthiness and helps lenders in risk assessment. A higher credit score usually indicates better financial discipline and lower risk and that leads to easier loan approval and favorable interest rates.
Steps to keep in mind to improve credit score
Make credit repayments on time
Your low credit score indicates that you have missed several repayments (If you have a credit card). It is important to ensure that you make all credit payments on time to maintain and improve your credit score. so make it a resolution that you are not going to miss any credit card bill payments.
Maintain borrowing limit
If you don't use a large chunk of your credit limit every month then it would mark your borrowing behaviour positive. Hence, it improves your credit score. You should not think of giving up using credit cards if you have a low credit score.
Don't forget to monitor your credit card report
Monitoring your credit report regularly will help you spot any discrepancies, and hence you will be able to take timely action. This would avoid any adverse impact on your credit score.
Limit your loan and stop applying for new credit card
You should not try for loans for a while and should refrain from applying new credit card. You need to focus on regular repayment so that your credit score improves.
