State-owned BHEL stated that it has secured orders to build two power plants worth Rs 7,000 crore from Adani Group On Friday. The first order for the 2 x 800 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Raipur, to be built in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, has been received from Adani Power Limited, BHEL said in a statement.

The second order for the 2 x 800 MW Mirzapur supercritical thermal power plant, to be built in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh, has been received from MTEUPPL (a subsidiary of Adani Power Limited), the company said. BHEL's scope of work for both projects includes the manufacturing and supply of key plant equipment and associated auxiliary equipment, as well as supervision of installation and commissioning. Key equipment for the projects, including steam generators, steam turbines, and generators, will be manufactured at the company's Trichy and Haridwar plants.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, is India's largest engineering and manufacturing organization, operating in the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
