Every year in November, many EPFO pension beneficiaries submit their Life Certificate. This is essential to continue receiving pension benefits. Previously, people used to stand in long queues at banks, post offices, and EPFO offices to submit these certificates.

However, you can now complete this task online through various methods. Additionally, you can also submit your Life Certificate by visiting a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC).

What Documents Are Necessary?

- PPO (Pension Payment Order) Number

- Aadhaar Card

- Mobile number registered with Aadhaar

- Biometric details, such as a fingerprint or iris scan, for verification.

How to Submit Online (via Jeevan Pramaan Portal)

- First, you need to visit Jeevanpramaan.gov.in.

- Click on the "Get a Certificate" option.

- Next, choose the medium you are using (mobile or computer) and download the application.

- Once the download is complete, open the app and carefully fill in the required information, such as your Aadhaar number, PPO number, etc.

- After that, complete the verification using a fingerprint or iris scan.

- As soon as the verification is complete, the digital Life Certificate will be generated and submitted to the office.

- You can also complete this process through the UMANG app.

How To Submit Via The UMANG App

- First, you need to download the UMANG app.

- In the app, search for "Jeevan Pramaan" or navigate to the Jeevan Pramaan section.

- Click on the "Generate Life Certificate" option.

- Enter the required information, such as your Aadhaar number and PPO number. You will also need to download the Aadhaar Face Authentication (Aadhaar FaceRD) app for the face scan.

- An OTP will be sent to your mobile number for verification; enter this OTP.

- Once the verification is complete, your Life Certificate will be generated and submitted.
