Gold price Today: The rate of gold fell marginally on Monday on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) after being on an upward trend all days past week. The price of The yellow metal was at Rs 76,642, down 1.25% against the previous closing price at around 11:00 am, on MCX. During the festive season last month, the precious metal had seen a massive rally and the price of it rose over Rs 80,000. The gold price took a plunge to go down the Rs 70,000 mark post festive season and later it started soaring again in the last leg of November. The price of gold fluctuates throughout the day on commodity exchange platforms, following the demand and supply of the yellow metal. However, the price remains steady on a given day in the retail market.

Breaking the multi-day upward trends, the rate of gold in India fell significantly on Monday i.e. November 25 in retail market. The are of 22-karat gold today in India is Rs 72,000 per 10 grams, while for 24-karat gold, the price is Rs 78,550. At the same time, the yellow metal is at Rs 58,910 per 10 grams for 18-karat gold.
