Gold, Silver Rate Jump Amid US-Iran-Israel Crisis: Gold and Silver prices escalated in early trade on March 4 after a sharp decline in the previous session in the domestic futures market. Silver futures contract soared over Rs 8,000 to a high of Rs 2,73,833 per kilogram in early trade on Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) as compared to last session's closing of Rs 2,65,318.
Meanwhile, gold futures contract on MCX rose over Rs 3,500 to a high of Rs 1,63,800 per 10 grams against last day's closing of Rs 1,61,108.
At the time of writing, MCX Gold (April expiry) was trading at Rs 1,63,431 per 10 grams, up Rs 2,323 or 1.44 per cent, while MCX Silver (May expiry) was trading at Rs 2,72,600, up Rs 7,282 or 2.74 per cent
Earlier on Tuesday, the bullion prices declined significantly on MCX amid profit booking post rally on Monday on the back of the outbreak of war between US-Iran and Israel.
Gold and Silver Rate In International Market
Gold and silver rates are trading high in the international futures market. Last seen, COMEX Gold was doing business at $5,166.60 per ounce, up $42.9 or 0.84 per cent. While MCX Silver was at $84.775, up $1.302 or 1.56 per cent.
Meanwhile, COMEX Crude Oil was at $75.5 per barrel, up $0.9 or 1.26 per cent.
24 karat, 22 karat gold rate in India on March 4
The gold prices for different purity levels jumped a bit in the domestic retail market. The 24 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,63,620 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,49,985 per 10 grams.
The 20 karat gold rate in India today is Rs 1,36,350 per 10 grams, while the same time 18 karat gold rate in India today is Rs 1,22,715 per 10 grams.
