MCX Gold, Silver Rates: The gold and silver rates tanked in the domestic futures market amid selling pressure due to renewed tension in the Middle East and weak global cues. The gold contract, August 5 expiry, fell over Rs 2,800 to a low of Rs 1,52,712 per 10 grams as compared to last day's closing of Rs 1,55,594 per 10 grams on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Similarly, the Silver contract, July 3 expiry, nosedived over Rs 9,400 to a low of Rs 2,39,064 from the previous session's closing of Rs 2,48,537 on MCX.
Last seen, MCX Gold was trading at Rs 1,53,800, down Rs 1,794 or 1.15 per cent. At the same time, MCX Silver was quoted at Rs 2, 42,477, down Rs 6,060 or 2.44 per cent.
"MCX Gold opened with a gap-down and is currently holding above the Rs 1,54,000 mark, reflecting cautious price action amid persistent volatility. Immediate resistance is placed at Rs 1,55,000–Rs 1,55,700, and a sustained move above this zone is required to strengthen momentum and extend the recovery toward Rs 1,57,000. On the downside, a decisive break below Rs 1,54,000 could intensify selling pressure and drag prices toward the Rs 1,52,000–Rs 1,51,500 support region," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
Gold and Silver Rates in the International Market
