Taxpayers, who have filled their ITR are eagerly waiting to get their balance. Here we tell you in how many days the return comes in the taxpayers' bank account.
July 31 is the deadline for ITR
The deadline for filing an Income Tax Return (ITR) for the financial year 2023-24 (Assessment Year 2024-25) is July 31st, 2024. Even if the ITR is submitted by the deadline, it is critical to keep in mind whether the Income Tax Department processes it or not. The ITR will not be credited to the ITR filer's bank account if it is not processed successfully. It takes time for the ITR to be processed successfully.
Tax experts recommend that, on average, processing of income tax returns takes 15-45 days from the date of e-verification of the ITR. The period is longer if offline verification (ITR-V form) is used.
