Infosys Latest News: Infosys, one of India's top IT companies, has made changes to its hybrid work policy, under which employees will be required to be in the office for at least 10 days every month. The move is aimed at team collaboration, improving workplace culture and promoting innovation.
According to The Economic Times report, Infosys has informed its functional heads through an internal email that updates to the company's attendance software will be effective from March 10, 2025. These updates will limit the number of days employees can work from home every month.
Who will be affected by Infosys' new work-from-office policy?
The revised hybrid work policy will affect Infosys employees at Job Level 5 (JL5) and below. According to the report, team leaders (JL5), software engineers, senior engineers, systems engineers and consultants will have to follow the new directive.
On the other hand, managers and senior management are not subject to this policy. Employees at job level 6 (JL6) and above, which includes managers, senior managers, delivery managers and senior delivery managers, are exempted from this requirement. Also, vice presidents and other top executives are not included in this rule change.
Infosys is implementing this hybrid work shift to promote coordination, collaboration and innovation across teams. The company believes that having employees in the office regularly will help strengthen the workplace culture, while also providing the flexibility to work from home on some days.
An employee said the change is driven more by project requirements than a strict company-wide rule. The decision is in line with the growing trend of hybrid work models in the IT industry, where organisations are trying to balance the convenience of remote work with the benefits of in-person collaboration.
With over 3.23 lakh employees, Infosys' work-from-office approach is part of a larger initiative to redefine the hybrid work model in the IT sector, boosting productivity and teamwork.
