Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: The Maharashtra government in July 2024 started the women welfare scheme, Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, aiming to provide Rs 1,500 monthly aid to women aged between 21 years and 65 years, earning less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year. Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, eligible women receive Rs 1,500 each month directly into their bank accounts through DBT.
The Maharashtra government on Wednesday (November 5) started the distribution of the October instalment of the monthly aid to eligible women. However, the government has made the eKYC mandatory for receiving the payments. Beneficiaries can complete the eKYC through their mobile phones and CSC centres by November 18. The Mahayuti government has made a provision of Rs 36,000 crore for Ladki Bahin Yojana for the year 2025-26.
Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: How To Do eKYC From Mobile?
If your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, you can do eKYC from your mobile phone at home:
Step 1: Open the mobile app OR the official portal at 'ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in'.
Step 2: Login or Verify with OTP
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar number
Step 4: You will receive an OTP
Step 5: Submit the OTP, and your eKYC will be completed.
Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: How To Do eKYC At CSC Centre?
If the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar, you will have to visit the nearest CSC (Common Service Centre):
- The CSC operator will identify you through the Biometric Fingerprint Device
- Your Aadhaar number will be entered in the system
- eKYC will be completed once the fingerprints match
Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: Documents Required For eKYC
You need the following documents for eKYC:
- Aadhaar Card
- Bank account passbook
- Mobile number linked to Aadhaar
- Scheme Registration Number/Family ID/Beneficiary Code
Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: Eligibility And Documents Needed For Verification Process
This scheme is primarily for women who come from economically weaker backgrounds. During the verification process, a woman needs to submit the following documents:
- Residence proof
- Income proof
- Aadhaar identification
- Bank Account Status
- A verification is conducted to confirm eligibility.
Ladki Bahin Yojana eKYC: Can Payment Be Stopped If eKYC Is Not Done?
Yes. If eKYC is not completed by the stipulated time, payments are temporarily halted until the eKYC process is complete.
