Stock Market Live Updates Today: The Indian stock market benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty 50 experienced significant gains on June 3. It was the biggest single-day surge since January 2021. The rally was fueled as market participants resumed extensive buying after most exit polls, released on Saturday, predicted the return of the Bharatiya Janta Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the government for the third time. After the extraordinary rally on Monday, investors have all the eyes on Tuesday i.e. June 4, as counting votes is scheduled today. If the exit poll predictions numbers hold, the market will probably see a huge rally like yesterday. All PSU stocks, especially those of the banking and power sectors, will be in focus today. Investors will also monitor the Adani group's stocks as they all registered a consolidated gain on Monday.
Stock Market on Monday: Both indices reached new record highs during the session, each jumping nearly 4 percent. Yesterday, Sensex opened 2,622 points higher at 76,583.29 from its previous close of 73,961.31, hitting a record high of 76,738.89 before closing at 76,468.78 with a gain of 2,507 points, or 3.39 percent. Nifty 50 also saw substantial gains, marking its biggest single-day percentage increase since January 2, 2021, alongside the Sensex. Overall, 25 out of the 30 stocks in the Sensex were in the green, reflecting a broad-based market rally.

Sensex, Nifty 50 And Other Indices Close In Red
The vote counting day has been a bloodbath day for the Indian Stock Market as domestic benchmark indices plunged over 6 percent during day trade. The Sensex closed at 72,079.05, down 4,389.73 points or 5.74 percent, and the Nifty closed at 21,884.50, down 1,379.40 points or 5.93 percent. There was an increase in approximately 331 shares, a decrease in 3,093 shares, and no change in 55 shares.
Adani Ports, NTPC, Adani Enterprises, ONGC, and SBI were the biggest losers on the Nifty, while Britannia Industries, HUL, Nestle, Hero MotoCorp, and Tata Consumer Products were the gainers.
Except for the goods sector, all other sectoral indices ended the trade in red metals, capital goods, real estate, telecom, oil and gas, power and PSU Bank fell over 10 percent.

Investors Shows Buying Interest In Certain Stocks
After suffering immense selling amid election result uncertainty, Nifty and Sensex have recovered over 3% from day lows, both the indices had suffered over 7 percent loss in day trade. Nifty 50, Sensex Recover From The Day Low
As the counting of votes reached halfway, the stock indices are recovering from their day low. The BSE's top 30 share index Sensex was trading at 72,489, down by 3,983.6 at around 1:40 P.m. At noon, the Sensex was down 6,000 points. The NSE Nifty 50 was trading at 22,034.80, down by 1229.

Adani Stocks Trade Up To 17% Lower As Market Falls Over 3%
