Jewar Airport News: Noida International Airport (NIA) on Thursday announced that it has partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to provide a premium, all-electric taxi service for passengers travelling to and from the hub. The 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service has excellent pick-up and drop-off facilities at curbside arrivals and departures, minimising walking distances, NIA said.
Passengers can book their trips through various channels, including a dedicated mobile app, website, call centre, airline alliances and airport kiosks. This multi-channel approach ensures accessibility and ease of booking for passengers.
"We have partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to offer a premium, all-electric taxi service, to provide a seamless and environment-friendly ride directly from the airport to your destination. This first-of-its-kind airport-branded cab service will set a new benchmark for passenger convenience and environmental responsibility," said Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of Noida International Airport.

The fleet will be managed by making real-time dynamic adjustments based on passenger demand and flight schedules, focusing on minimising waiting times and increasing service availability, NIA said.
The airport operator also said that the drivers will receive detailed training on airport protocols and customer service standards, ensuring high-quality interactions with passengers.
Indigo Flight Completed Trial
Earlier on Monday first trial run ahead of the commercial inauguration of the airport in April 2025 was conducted. A video of which has also surfaced on the internet, in the video, an Indigo aircraft landed on the newly built runway. The Noida Airport Authority welcomed the first flight with a water cannon salute.
According to Jewar International Airport Limited (NIAL), the trial run will remain operational till December 15. During this time, DGCA will record the airport data through flights. According to the information, the target is to start cargo service from Jewar International Airport by April 2025.
