PM Kisan 21st Installment: The Union government has released the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme in advance for some of the states affected by flood and landslides. These include Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. The government has so far transferred Rs 170 crore to over 8.5 lakh farmers affected by natural calamities. Meanwhile, farmers in the other states await their share.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a Central government scheme for farmers, was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24, 2019, and was applicable from December 1, 2018. The scheme provides an annual sum of Rs 6,000 to eligible landholding farmers across the country. This financial aid is transferred to beneficiaries' accounts in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each, disbursed every four months.

While the government has not released specific dates for the disbursement of the funds, it is anticipated that the next installment will be made between October and November 2025.

According to government sources, cited by jagran.com, it is estimated that the Centre is expected to release the remaining installments before Diwali.
