Rajvir Jawanda passed away at the age of 35 on October 8 after battling for life following a brutal bike accident. He had a head and spine injury and was in critical condition since September 27. He was under intense medical treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, but could not survive due to injuries that led to cardiac arrest. Rajvir’s mortal remains were taken to his native village, Pona, yesterday. His has been cremated in a ground near his home. Jawanda's friend and actor Ammy Virk performed the rituals of last rites. Apart from hin, the funeral was attended by his family, close friends, industry people including Arjan Dhillon, Babbu Maan, and Kulwinder Billa. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was also present at the funeral to meet the late singer’s family.

Rajvir Jawanda’s Road Accident
The singer was travelling to Shimal on 1300cc motorcycle. On his way, two bulls were fighting with each other on the road, and one of them ran towards, singer’s bike after which he lost control of his bike, said an eyewitness to reporters. The accident reportedly happened near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. He suffered from severe spinal injuries and brain damage and was taken to Fortis Hospital in Mohali. On the way to the hospital, Rajvir Jawanda experienced a cardiac arrest, which worsened his health. The doctor then said that his ‘neurological condition remained critical, with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement despite intensive medical care’. He then lost his life on October 8. The doctor issued a statement, which read, “Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans.”

On the day of his travel, his wife, Ashwinder Kaur, reportedly begged him not to step outside the house as she was feeling that something was wrong is likely to happen. A close friend of the singer told Daily Post Punjabi confirmed the statement. Rajvir Jawanda has survived by his wife, Ashwinder Kaur and two children - a daughter, Hemant Kaur and a son, Dilawar Singh.
