Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday morning. The singer had met with an accident on September 27, 2025 and since then he had been getting treatment in Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Jawanda passed away today after a prolonged battle with multiple organ failure, despite the best efforts of the medical team at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. The hospital expressed deep condolences to Jawanda's family, friends and fans, mourning the loss of the talented artist who left an indelible mark on the Punjabi music industry.

Rajvir Jawanda Last Rites

According to reports, Rajvir Jawanda's last rites will be performed on October 9 at his native village, Pona, near Jagraon, as confirmed by his family sources. 

After his accident, Jawanda's friends and colleagues in the industry came together to support him during his hospital stay. His mother had expressed gratitude for their help with medical expenses and the constant flow of food and beverages sent to the family. Now, after his death, Punjabi artists like Gippy Grewal, Neeru Bajwa, Parmish Verma, Sargun Mehta, Tania, Badshah, and many more have expressed their condolences on social media.

Rajvir Jawanda, a Ludhiana-born Punjabi singer and actor, gained fame with hits like Kali Jawande Di, Mera Dil and Sardari. He was also known for his roles in several Punjabi films. An avid biker, Rajvir often shared videos of his mountain rides. Married and loved by his fans, Rajvir's passion for music and adventure shone through in his work.

According to a report in Apple Music, Rajvir Jawanda initially aspired to become a police officer after graduating from university but instead pursued a career in the arts as a singer. Born in Punjab in 1992, Rajvir launched his music career with his debut single Munda Like Me in 2014. He since collaborated with notable artists, including Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar, with whom he released the song Vair. Rajvir's musical journey saw him work on various hits, earning him a dedicated fan base in the Punjabi music industry.
