Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 74th birthday today i.e. September 17. It is his first birthday since he took oath as India's prime minister for the third consecutive time, which equals the previous record of former prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. He is one of the most popular political faces in the world. Before resuming to PM office, he was Chief Minister of Gujrat for around 12 years.

PM Modi has assets worth Rs 3.02 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared assets worth Rs 3.02 crore in his affidavit filed while filing nomination papers for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Of this, Rs 2.86 crore is in fixed deposits in State Bank of India. He has Rs 52,920 in cash and Rs 80,304 in two bank accounts in Gandhinagar and Varanasi.

He has Rs 9.12 lakh invested in National Savings Certificate and four gold rings worth Rs 2.68 lakh. His income has increased from Rs 11.14 lakh in 2018-19 to Rs 23.56 lakh in 2022-23. He does not own any land, house or car, according to the affidavit.

Became prime minister for a third consecutive term

Narendra Modi was elected as Prime Minister in 2014 for for the first time since then he has been the prime ministerial choice for people of India. In won the 2019 general election to become PM for the third consecutive time and after a successful second term, he took oath as Prime Minister for the third time in 2024. Prime Minister represents Varanasi constituency in Lok sabha, he has been elected from there for three consecutive times as well.
