The Government of India's flagship program, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), aims to provide financial assistance to farmers. Eligible landholding farmer families are given Rs 6,000 annually under this Central Sector Scheme, which is split into three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the money is transferred straight to the beneficiary's bank account.
What is PM-Kisan?
PM-KISAN, which was started by the Central Government, offers income support to farmers to help them handle household and agricultural expenses. The Government of India provides all funding for the program, which is available to qualified landholding farmers nationwide.
Likely Date of 20th Instalment
The 20th installment of PM-Kisan is anticipated to be credited on June 20, 2025, according to recent reports. An official confirmation is still pending, though. February 2025 saw the release of the 19th installment.
Eligibility Criteria for PM-Kisan
To receive benefits under PM-Kisan, farmers must, Be an Indian citizens, should own cultivable land with valid land records, have their Aadhaar number linked to their bank account, and Complete eKYC process.
Who Is Not Eligible?
The following citizens are excluded from the scheme:
- Income tax payers
- Government and public sector employees
- Pensioners receiving more than the specified limit
- Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers registered with professional bodies
Mandatory eKYC for Next Instalment
To receive the 20th instalment, completing eKYC is mandatory.
Steps to Complete eKYC:
- Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on the “e-KYC” option under the “Farmers Corner”
- Enter your Aadhaar number and fill in the captcha
- Verify with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

Farmers can check if they are eligible for the next instalment.

- Clicking on “Beneficiary Status” under the “Farmers Corner”

- Viewing the payment status and instalment history
