"The said resolutions have been passed with more than requisite majority on October 26, 2023," RIL said in a regulatory filing.

Isha Ambani received approval from 98.21% of the total votes cast, while Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani garnered support from 98.06% and 92.76% of the votes, respectively. The board of directors approved the appointments of Isha, Akash, and Anant in August, marking a significant milestone in the leadership transition at Reliance Industries.

In another significant development, the board of directors approved the resignation of Nita Ambani, aligning with the ongoing strategy to progressively empower Isha, Akash, and Anant to oversee various divisions within Reliance Industries. Mukesh Ambani had alluded to this leadership transition at RIL back in December 2021.

"I have no doubt that Akash, Isha and Anant as the next-gen leaders will lead Reliance to even greater heights," he had then stated.

Isha Ambani leads Reliance Retail, the group's retail enterprise. In July, Isha Ambani was additionally designated as a non-executive director on the board of Jio Financial Services.

Akash, on the other hand, assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at Reliance Jio Infocomm in July of the previous year. He also serves as a board member of Jio Platforms. Akash plays a pivotal role in advancing the group's initiatives concerning data utilization and the adoption of emerging technologies. According to an official statement, he is at the forefront of developing products and services that harness cutting-edge technologies like 5G, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things.
