Stock market: Domestic Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty hit all-time highs in early trade on Friday, boosted by a rally in global markets, buying in top stocks, and fresh inflows from foreign investors. The S&P BSE Sensex climbed 308.49 points to a new all-time high of 79,551.67. The Nifty rose 103.75 points to touch a fresh all-time high of 24,148.25.
Among the 30 Sensex companies, NTPC, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Nestle were the top gainers. UltraTech Cement, Adani Ports, IndusInd Bank, and Maruti were among the laggards.

In Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong traded in the green zone. The stock market of the United States ended in green on Thursday. Foreign institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 7,658.77 crore on Thursday, according to stock exchange data. Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose 0.49 percent to $86.81 per barrel.
Market on Thursday
The Bahrain Stock Exchange index jumped 568.93 points, or 0.72 percent, to settle at a new closing peak of 79,243.18 on Thursday. The Nifty index ended at a new record high of 24,044.50, up 175.70 points or 0.74 percent.
The benchmark index Sensex surpassed its all-time high of 79,000 points, while the Nifty touched a record high of 24,000 points for the first time on Thursday, as buying in blue-chip stocks like Infosys, Reliance, and TCS helped the market extend its gains. The market gained for the fourth consecutive day and closed at record highs. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 568.93 points or 0.72 percent to settle at a fresh closing high of 79,243.18.
During the day, the index rose 721.78 points, or 0.91 percent, to touch a new high of 79,396.03 points. The Nifty index ended at a new record high of 24,044.50, up 175.70 points or 0.74 percent. During the day, it rose 218.65 points, or 0.91 percent, to touch an all-time high of 24,087.45.
