Automobiles Stock Performance in 2023: The stock market has been bullish in 2023 as NSE's Nifty50 and BSE's Sensex rose around 20 per cent and 18 per cent respectively so far. Be it Energy, Automobles, Banking or IT all sectors have contributed to the growth of the indices.
With just two trading days left in 2023, both Sensex and Nifty are trading at their all-time high values. The index of the top 30 shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 'Sensex' has been trading above the 72300 mark, while Nifty, the index of the top 50 companies on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), has gone up to 21700 mark.
Meanwhile, the automobile sector stocks performed well in the year so far. Below are the top automobile stocks and the returns they have given in the last 12 months.
Eicher Motors
The stock of the heavy vehicle manufacturer was at the level of rs 3211 on 28 December a year back and a year later on December 28, 2023, the shares were trading at the level of rs 4,089.05 (at around 1:28 PM). In this way, the stock rose 27% in the given period. Meanwhile, 52-week high and low values have been 4,200, and 2,836 respectively.
Bajaj Auto
The shares of Bajaj Auto were at rs 3586.85 on December 28, 2022. A year later on the same day, the shares were trading at rs 6,701.95 (At around 1: 28 PM), which means the stock jumped up by around 86% in the last 12 months. Meanwhile, the 52-week high and low values stood at Rs 6740.25, and 3520.05 respectively.

Ashok Leyland
