Deepinder Goyal, CEO of the food delivery company Zomato, has officially registered an extravagantly priced apartment that he purchased three years ago. The apartment is situated in The Camellias, an ultra-luxury residential complex by DLF in Gurugram, Phase 5, near the Golf Course Road. The CEO reportedly bought the apartment for a colossal amount of Rs 52.3 crore.

The paperwork for this purchase was completed in March 2025, with Goyal paying Rs 3.66 crore just for the stamp duty, a type of property tax in India.

The apartment is massive, measuring around 10,815 square feet and comes with five parking spots.

Goyal had purchased the apartment directly from the builder, DLF Limited, in 2022, but his official registration (conveyance deed) happened on March 17, 2025.

The Camellias, known for its super luxury apartments, is located in the sprawling region of Gurugram. Many property agents have stated that apartments of the size Goyal has bought would cost about Rs 140 crore in 2025, indicating a significant appreciation in value.

Other Properties Owned by Deepinder Goyal:
In February 2024, Deepinder Goyal also bought a piece of land in the Mehrauli region of Delhi for another colossal sum of Rs 50 crore.

Deepinder Goyal's Background:
Goyal pursued an Integrated M.Tech in Mathematics and Computing at IIT Delhi, graduating in 2005. He then worked for Bain & Company as a Senior Associate Consultant for approximately three years. In 2008, while still at Bain, he co-founded "Foodiebay" with Pankaj Chaddah. A year later, in 2009, they rebranded and officially launched Zomato. Pankaj Chaddah is a co-founder of Zomato.

Other Big Property Deals at DLF's The Camellias:
The Camellias is a popular residence for the country's rich and wealthy. The properties at The Camellias are designed to give an impression that people often compare them to 7-star luxury hotels. Many successful business executives and startup founders live here; some have even moved from their large independent homes to these spacious apartments in Gurugram.

Here are a few other recent significant deals made at The Camellias:

1. A massive Rs 190 crore deal was made by Rishi Parti, founder of Info-X Software Technology, for a penthouse in December 2024. This penthouse measured approximately 16,000 square feet.

2. Smiti Agarwal, director at Wesbok Lifestyle and spouse of V Bazaar CMD Hemant Agarwal, bought a whopping Rs 95 crore apartment in The Camellias. It is a 10,813 square feet property. (The information about it being bought by an NRI from Singapore was inaccurate and has been removed).

3. In October 2023, an 11,000 square feet apartment was resold for about Rs 114 crore. When DLF initially sold these apartments in 2014, they were basic unfinished units and costed approximately Rs 22,500 per square foot.
