Chasing 283, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran stitched a 130-run opening partnership to lay the foundation for the win. Gurbaz departed after playing a knock of 65 off 53 balls including one six and nine fours while Zadran battled cramps to smash 87 studded with 10 fours. Rahmat Shah's unbeaten 77 and skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi's 48 not out to put the final nail in Afghanistan's win.

Afghanistan secured their second win in the tournament after upsetting defending champions England in Delhi. They sit at sixth spot with four points in five games and remain alive in the tournament.
Pakistan's mediocre bowling and sloppy fielding cost them in the match and handed a memorable win to Afghanistan.
Ibrahim Zadran was awarded Player of the Match for his valuable contribution to the winning cause. He credited his opening partner Gurbaz for backing him in the partnership.
"I wanted to go out there with a positive mind and positive intent, and I did it. We (Gurbaz and himself) have played a lot of cricket with each other, we have good communication while running between the wickets as we have been playing together since under-16 days. The way Gurbaz supported me (in that opening partnership) - that helped me and we got the momentum in our favour. I am feeling great for myself and my country," Zadran said in the post-match presentation.
Afghanistan will next take on Sri Lanka at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on October 30.
