Tim David rescues Australia

Tim David was the pick among the Australian batters, as he helped the visitors bounce back after suffering a batting collapse as they were reeling at 75/6 after 7.4 overs. He got assistance from Ben Dwarshius, who had scored a gritty knock of 17 runs off 19 balls, and the duo stitched a partnership of 59 runs for the seventh wicket and helped the side post a target of 178 runs.

David has been in sublime form. In July, he created the record of scoring the fastest hundred in the shortest format as an Australian batter and also broke Josh Inglis' record of 43 balls. He achieved this milestone against the West Indies as he had scored 102 runs off 37 balls, in which he had smashed 11 sixes and six fours. His aggressive batting helped the team win the match by six wickets at St. Kitts.
