ENG vs WI: The start of the 3rd ODI between England and the West Indies at the Oval was delayed on Tuesday for bizarre reasons as heavy traffic in London prompted a farcical delay leaving visitors stuck in traffic.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) published a statement ahead of the toss, saying, “Due to a delayed arrival of one of the playing teams, who are stuck in heavy traffic north of the river, the scheduled start of play will be delayed.
“Once all members of the playing teams arrive, the match officials will coordinate updated timings and discuss any impact on the schedule of play. We will update spectators with the schedule of play as soon as we are able to.”

On the other hand, some England players opted for rental bikes to reach The Oval, navigating through London's crowded roads on two wheels.

The toss was delayed by 40 minutes to 1:10 p.m. local time (5:40pm IST) and the start of the match was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. local time (6pm IST). That's a delay of 30 minutes.
England has already clinched the three-match series after wins in Birmingham and Cardiff last week.
Due to this West Indies couldn’t have a hit in the nets. The team posted on their social media handle: “Due to heavy traffic delays, our team arrived moments before the previously scheduled toss time.”
