RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 Final: Sunday will mark a special day in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the 2025 season is bound to crown a new champion. The two teams - Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS)- who have never savoured the taste of a title win in the cash-rich league will take on each other for the maiden coveted trophy at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday.
It will be a special day for Punjab's skipper Shreyas Iyer, who will be leading in his second consecutive Indian Premier League (IPL) final on Tuesday evening this time in 'Red' colours for PBKS, after taking Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to their title-winning final last year.
During the match against RCB, Iyer is on the cusp of rewriting the record books, having smashed 39 sixes in the 2025 season. He is just shy of four maximums to pass Abhishek Sharma's record of 42 sixes, making him the player with the most sixes in a single IPL season.
Throughout the years IPL has witnessed, the tally rising to 1271 this season, surpassing last year's 1260. Legendary big-hitters like Chris Gayle continue to dominate the standing with his summit spot as the tournament's highest six-hitter.
