IPL 2025 Retentions: The buzz around the next season of IPL continues to grow as teams are all set to reveal their retention list, which includes young and senior players. The IPL Governing Council has declared October 31 as the deadline for the teams as to when they would reveal their retained players list. As the teams decide their strategies, players like MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma would most likely continue playing for CSK and MI.
Just after a month where the IPL Governing Council revealed player retention rules for the next cycle, the board gave each franchise a chance to retain six players, with the help of direct retention or the RTM. All the franchises can retain five capped players, which includes both Indian and foreign and that also includes two uncapped players. This provision lets the team build a strong, balanced side while ensuring competitiveness in the next edition.
