IPL 2026: The IPL 2026 mini auction will be action-packed as the trade rumours have created a lot of buzz on the back of big-ticket transfers. Ahead of the mini auction, where the teams will try to fill in the gaps, a lot of these teams will also try to solve their problems in trade deals, either by trading cricketers or finalizing all-cash agreements.

Since the last few seasons, a lot of big players like Hardik Pandya, Robin Uthappa, and Cameron Green have traded teams in these deals, where Hardik Pandya switched from GT to MI.

Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja

One of the biggest moves before the next season is Samson and Jadeja. Post rumours of joining KKR and DC didn't work out, now, as per reports, Samson is all set to move to CSK.

The report also said that RR will be getting Sam Curran according to the trade, and it will be one of the most notable exchanges in the tournament's history.

All the parties might have reached an agreement, but this deal is still on hold owing to some rules. RR have overused their overseas slots and will have to make way for Sam Curran.

Shardul Thakur

India's star all-rounder has become the first official trade before the mini auction. He was roped in by LSG for a whopping amount of Rs 2cr as injury replacement for IPL 2025 and had played in 10 matches.

Thakur, known for his clutch performances, has been traded to MI for Rs 2 crore.

Sherfane Rutherford

After Thakur's announcement, MI revealed that they have also traded Sherfane Rutherford from GT.

He has represented Windies in 44 T20Is and is the sixth-highest wicket-taker in this format, and has also stitched a 139-run partnership with Andre Russell against Australia.

Arjun Tendulkar

According to reports, MI and LSG have also made a different deal with Arjun Tendulkar, who has been playing for MI since 2023. MI had bought him for Rs 30 lakh and will be traded to LSG.

MI will be releasing him so that he can have more chances to play, as per reports.

Mohammed Shami

Shami, who has represented India in 64 Tests, 108 ODIs, and 25 T20Is, has gained the attention of both LSG and DC.

The extent of DC's interest was quite visible in how Ganguly talked about him.

“I’m sure the selectors are watching, and there is communication between Mohammad Shami and the selectors. But if you ask me, in terms of fitness and skill, it’s the Mohammad Shami we know of," he said.
