Pandya hasn't recovered from his ankle injury and is set to miss the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia at home and the three-match ODI and T20I series against South Africa next month.
As per a report from the Indian Express, Pandya is expected to be out for at least two months because of his ankle injury.

Pandya felt discomfort in his right leg while bowling, having dragged his right boot while landing on the pitch. He tried to gain his footing but couldn't continue and was taken off the field.
He didn't take part in the rest of the match and was later rushed to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for rehabilitation and then ruled out from the ongoing World Cup.
Prasidh Krishna was added as a replacement for the injured Pandya in the Indian squad for the rest of the tournament.
A few weeks ago Pandya felt yet another discomfort while bowling in the nets with strength and conditioning coaches advising him to increase speed slowly.
He decided to increase the intensity but felt a bit of pain in his leg.
The medical team is yet to take a call if Pandya needs surgery.
Pandya had penned down a heartfelt message on the X: “Tough to digest the fact that I will miss out on the remaining part of the World Cup. I’ll be with the team, in spirit, cheering them on every ball of every game. Thanks for all the wishes, the love, and the support has been incredible. This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud. Love, always, HP”.
Pandya was expected to return to the side during Australia T20Is but now he is unlikely to play until next year.
