Tanmay Baloda produced a brilliant bowling performance as India U-19 completed a 10-wicket win over Australia U-19 in the second Youth Test on Wednesday.

The left-arm orthodox spinner picked up eight wickets for 41 runs in Australia’s second innings to finish the match with 14 wickets. His outstanding performance helped India wrap up the two-match series 2-0.

Australia were bowled out for just 151 after starting the day at 86/4. That left India with only 11 runs to chase, and the hosts completed the target without losing a wicket.

Australia Collapse After India Take Big Lead

India had earlier scored 315 in their only innings, giving them a lead of 141 runs after Australia were dismissed for 174 in the first innings.

Australia needed a strong start on the third morning, but Baloda and his bowling partners had other plans.

The visitors lost their remaining six wickets for just 65 runs, with Baloda doing most of the damage.

Priyanshu Singh also contributed with two wickets for 25 runs as India quickly took control of the contest.

Baloda Completes 14-Wicket Match Haul

Baloda was the standout performer throughout the Test. After taking 6/32 in Australia’s first innings, the Haryana spinner returned figures of 8/41 in the second.

He had already removed all four batters who fell on the second day. On Wednesday, he completed his eight-wicket haul by dismissing four more Australian batters.

Among his victims were Blake Cattle and Eli Brain.

Cattle had earlier kept Australia in the game with a fighting 63 off 108 balls. His innings included eight fours and two sixes and was crucial in helping Australia avoid an innings defeat.

India Complete Easy Chase

With Australia managing only 151 in their second innings, India were left with a target of just 11 runs.

Lakshya Raichandani finished the match in quick fashion, hitting two fours off Spencer Green.

India reached the target after just five balls of the first over without losing a wicket, completing another dominant victory over Australia.

India Complete Series Sweep

The victory gave India U-19 a 2-0 series win. India had already won the first Youth Test in Rajkot by an innings and 48 runs.

The Test series came after an even more one-sided Youth ODI series, with India completing a 3-0 clean sweep.

With another commanding win in Ahmedabad, the India U-19 team finished the Australia assignment on a high, with Baloda emerging as the biggest star of the two-Test series.
