India captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat in the 30th match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 against Australia, which is taking place at iconic Lord's Stadium in London. This is the do-or-die clash for India to seal their berth for the semifinals of the marquee event, and Australia have already qualified for the semifinals.

Notably, India featured with one change as Kranti Gaud was included in the playing XI in place of Nandni Sharma. On the other hand, Australia's Alana King misses out, and Phoebe Litchfield is included in the playing XI.

Captains at toss

Australia captain Sophie Molineux: Actually we were going to have a bowl. Pheebs is back in, Alana King is missing out. Just conditions and matchups.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur : Going to bat first. Very important game for us, we thought let's just bat freely. One change. Kranti back in place of Nandni. These kind of pitches suit her. It's a fresh day, fresh mind. Today is the day to enjoy ourselves.
