India A fielded a side full of young stars in the presence of Tilak Varma, with Ayush Badoni leading the side. The senior Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will kick off their T20 WC campaign with the match against the USA on February 7.
Naman Dhir landed the final blow as he dismissed Ali Khan for 6 in the final over, and the USA were bowled out for 200 while chasing a massive target of 239 runs. After being put into bat first, India were off to a promising start, but Priyansh Arya couldn't convert his effort into a big knock and was dismissed for 28 runs in 13 balls in the fourth over. Chasing the target, the USA lost a few early wickets, but there were impressive contributions from the likes of Sanjay Krishnamurthi (41), Shubham (28), Harmeet Singh (25) and Mohammad Mohsin (21). They never got any massive partnership and fell short in the end. For India, Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers, as he took three wickets for 37 runs in his four overs.
