ICC T20I Rankings: India's star opener Abhishek Sharma has continued his sublime form in T20Is. Post India's win at the 2024 T20 World Cup, they have changed the style of playing in this format, and Abhishek Sharma has been spearheading this aspect. The youngster has performed consistently and has given the opposition bowler a hard time whenever he comes out to bat. He had also played a huge role in helping the team lift its 9th title.

Abhishek Sharma Goes Past Virat Kohli

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma had scored 931 rating points after smashing a fifty against Sri Lanka during a semi-final. During the process, Abhishek surpassed Virat Kohli's career-best T20I rating points. Abhishek also broke Dawid Malan's record, who had achieved the best rating points of 919 way back in 2020.

England's star wicket-keeper batter Phil Salt has finished in second position after scoring 844 rating points. Tilak Varma, on the back of his brilliant performance during the Asia Cup summit clash, has scored 819 rating points. Abhishek Sharma began playing in international cricket last year but has never looked back after that and has performed consistently for the Indian team. He was adjudged the Player of the tournament award after scoring 314 runs at a brilliant average of 44.85.

Sri Lanka's star batter Pathum Nissanka has climbed two spots and is lying at the fifth position with a career-best rating. He had scored 261 runs during the Asia Cup 2025.
