ICC Women's World Cup 2025 Award Winners List And Prize Money: India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday. India lifted their maiden Women's World Cup title to script a new chapter in the nation's cricket history.

Having already witnessed so many ups and downs throughout the tournament, it all came down to one night on which India made their third appearance in the final. They witnessed impactful performances from almost every player, with batters scoring runs, bowlers taking wickets and fielders throwing themselves here and there to save boundaries.

On her return to the side, Shafali Verma might have just provided the best contribution of her career so far. She played a magnificent knock of 87 runs in 78 balls on the back of seven fours and a six, whereas Deepti Sharma made a crucial contribution of 58 runs.

After posting a challenging total of 298/7 in their 50 overs, India bowled South Africa out for 246 in 45.3 overs. Shafali and Deepti delivered with the ball as well to take India over the line. While Deepti picked up a match-winning five-wicket haul, Shafali set the tone with two early wickets.
