England vs India 5th Test: Sachin Tendulkar was quick to react and applaud India's efforts after their historic win against England in the fifth and final Test at the Oval on Monday. It all came down to the final day, and the Indian bowlers held their nerves to bowl England out for 367 runs.
Mohammed Siraj stepped up and led India's pace attack. He landed the final blow and ended up taking nine wickets in the match. He was adjudged as the Player of the Match for India's heroic effort and the five-match

The match had to be shifted to the final day after rain washed out a final few minutes on the fourth day, and India were on top despite early centuries from Joe Root and Harry Brook. The duo stitched a 195-run stand for the fourth wicket and almost won the game for England, but India remained alive with a few late but successive wickets.

England needed just 35 runs to win with four wickets in hand. Siraj struck early to give India an early boost as he dismissed Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton in his first two overs of the day. Gus Atkinson played a few shots to put pressure back on the visitors. Prasidh Krishna got the better of Josh Tongue with a remarkable yorker, forcing the injured Chris Woakes to come out to bat.
Just when things seemed to be going England's way after India's couple of blunders on the field, Siraj removed Atkinson to take India over the line.
India's only wins in the series came at Edgbaston and the Kennington Oval, whereas they drew the Manchester Test on the back of a memorable fightback.

Last man standing. Siraj for me is the real man of the series. The only fast bowler to play all five test with the same intensity in majority batting friendly conditions where all the tests went the distance. Take a bow @mdsirajofficial 🙌🏻 #ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/gIUOkr6FLa
