In a spectacular display of power-hitting, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal propelled India to a commanding six-wicket victory against Afghanistan in the second T20I. Chasing a target of 173 runs, India made short work of the challenge, completing the chase with 26 balls to spare and taking an unassailable lead in the three-match series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a blistering innings, hammering 68 off 34 balls, including six sixes, before getting out. Shivam Dube remained unbeaten with a scintillating 63 off 32 balls, featuring four maximums. The duo's brutal assault left Afghanistan's bowlers struggling to contain the onslaught.

Earlier in the match, Gulbadin Naib's aggressive knock of 57 runs off 35 balls, supported by contributions from Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21 off 9 balls) and Karim Janat (20 off 10), lifted Afghanistan to a total of 172 all out.

India's chase began with eventful moments, including a first-ball boundary by Yashasvi Jaiswal, an lbw shout and unsuccessful review, and a first-ball duck for Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli, playing his first T20I since November 2022, made an impactful start, scoring a quick 29 off 16 balls.

Despite Kohli's dismissal, the partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube proved to be destructive, with the duo pummeling Afghanistan's bowlers and securing a comprehensive victory for India.

The win not only showcased India's batting firepower but also highlighted the depth and resilience in the team. The unassailable lead in the series marks a dominant performance by India, setting the stage for the third T20I with the team in prime form.

As India continues its T20I campaign, the thrilling victory against Afghanistan adds to the team's momentum, leaving fans eager to witness more exciting cricket in the upcoming matches.
